is there a standard hot shoe mount for all camera, camcroders and accessories?
I'm just talking about the actual mount itself. I know eahc camera manufacturer may have its own connections, but is the actual mount the same on every camera, camcorder and all of the accessories?
Yes. Except for Minolta cameras and the new Canon camcorders that have a mini shoe and the new Sony's with their (different) mini shoe - all of which have converters to standard mounts available.
