Which is a better camcorder, Sony or Canon?
I want to buy a new HD Camcorder. I am choosing between the Canon and Sony. I am leaning toward the Canon Vixia HV40 because of its features (focus, stabilization, color quality, cinema mode, ect). I want a camera that can record in MiniDV and digital like the Vixia HV40. Which company is better for for overall picture quality and what Sony cameras can match the HV40?
Actually both the brands are very competitive.Canon Vixia HV40 uses miniDV tapes and optional miniSD Memory Card which is very easy to upload pictures on to your computer through usb. 24p Cinema Mode enables all aspiring moviemakers to have another way to achieve a professional "film-look." You can change the camcorder's frame capture rate to 24p (recorded at 60i), which provides the appearance of the same frame rate as movie film. I would really prefer to go with this
