I'll have a Canon EOS 30D body and will be taking a lot of photos on mountaineering and backpacking trips, so weight and ruggedness are an issue. I was looking at Gitzos; is that really the way to go as far as lightweight tripods go? If so, how does one go about choosing one Gitzo over the other? Thanks a lot!
